  • Club receives banners Club receives banners 27-Aug-14; Faith Robinson, Rotary Youth Exchange student to Switzerland presents club banners from Switzerland and Philippines to Jim Steele. Our club supported the Philippine club after the flood damage in that country. The connection to the Philippine club was made through Faith Robinson and a Philippine Exchange student in Switzerland.
  • Garage Sale nets $750 Garage Sale nets $750 10-Sep-14; Jamie Page accepts check on behalf of the Fayette Ministerial Alliance from local Rotary treasurer Kurt Himmelmann.
  • Keith Abernathy and Teri Haack Keith Abernathy and Teri Haack 10-Sep-14; Fayette Rotary invited two new members to the podium on Sept. 10. Both Keith and Teri are on the CMU faculty as members of the Criminal Justice department.
  • Third graders get dictionaries Third graders get dictionaries 10-Sep-14; Club President James Steele presents third grader with his very own dictionary. Fayette Rotary Club presented all Fayette elementary school third graders with new dictionaries the first week in September. Labels for the dictionaries was provided by Kurt Himmelmann. Third graders have received dictionaries for several years running.

  • Caleb Walker joins Rotary Caleb Walker joins Rotary 4-Mar-15; Jim Steele welcomes Caleb as the newest member of the Fayette Rotary Club.
  • Big check to Fayette Optumist Big check to Fayette Optumist 15_Apr-15; Rotary donates $3000 to the Summer Recreation Program run by the Fayette Optumist and Fayette Lions Clubs for equipment. Half of the money comes from District 6080 and half of the funds are raised locally. In the picture, we have Fayette Optumist President, Novy Foland (left); Summer Rec Program Director, Spencer Gerald; Rotary President, Jim Steele and Rotary member, Jessica Quint.
  • Hanson, Rotary Business Leader Hanson, Rotary Business Leader 29-Apr-15; The local Rotary Club selected Rachel Hanson as the Rotary Business Leader of the Year. Jim Steele presented Rachel with plaque. Look elsewhere on the website for Rachel's list of attributes.
  • Pat Roll receives member pin. Pat Roll receives member pin. 13-May-15; Pat Roll proposed new member Caleb Walker. Rotary International sent the club a pin to recognize Pat for his sponsorship. Jim Steele places the pin on Pat's lapel.
  • Powell receives $500 scholarship Powell receives $500 scholarship 27-May-15; Fayette High School graduating senior, De'Jonna Powell, selected recipient of the Rotary $500 Scholarship to CMU. De'Jonna's grandmother is also present for the picture.
  • Cathy Baxter receives plaque Cathy Baxter receives plaque 17-Jun-15; Cathy Baxter has been the club secretary for the past two years. She will be moving from the community and leaving the Fayette Rotary Club. Jim Steele presents Cathy with a plaque for her years of service.
