2016 Business Leader of the YearMay 18, 2016: BLY is Pat roll. The names of all Rotary Business Leaders of the year since 1984 are inscribed on two permanent plaques which hang in the Commercial Trust Community Room. Pat Roll named Business LeaderMay 18, 2016: In 2011, Pat Roll and his wife Ruth purchased the Fayette Newspapers and moved to Fayette from Nebraska. With a hugh effort, many pictures and great county-wide sports coverage the newspapers have continued to thrive. On May 18, Pat Roll was recognized as the 2016 Rotary Club Business Leader of the Year.

Abbey Ruggles receives CMU $500June 17, 2016: Each year the Fayette Rotary Club selects a graduating FHS student who is planning to attend CMU for a $500 scholarship. Abbey Ruggles was selected as this years recipient. Abbey plans to major in Music Education.
Pat Roll receives plaqueJuly 6, 2016: With the first meeting of the year, outgoing President Pat Roll passed the presidency and the gavel to the new President, Tamara Kimball. Moments later Tamara presented Pat with a plaque thanking him for his leadership in the club over the past year.
