Cana Conrow
2023 Business Person of
the Year

The Fayette Rotary Club honored Cana Conrow as the club’s Business
Leader of the Year for 2023 at its regular meeting on Sept. 13 in the
Central Methodist University Student Center.
The annual award recognizes a local business professional who
exemplifies Rotary’s values and who is making a lasting contribution to
the welfare of the Fayette community.
Cana owns and operates the Gold Apple Boutique, a retail clothing store
on the south side of the courthouse square.
She is past president of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce and
presently serves as Executive Director of Fayette Main Street, Inc. She
possesses an inside view of the processes involved with economic
development and is fully committed to the revitalization of Fayette.
A life-long resident of Fayette, Cana and her husband Kyle have two
young sons. According to
Cana, “Fayette is home. It
is a growing and thriving community and there are great things happening
here. We are excited to be
a part of it.”
Rotary’s Business Leader of the Year recognition began in 1984, with
nominations received each year from club members before a final vote by
secret ballot. Any business or professional person living and/or working
within the bounds of the Fayette R-III school district is eligible to
receive the award.
Names of recipients through the years are included on two permanent
plaques which hang in the Commercial Trust Community Room. The names are
also listed on the Fayette Rotary Club’s website,
www.fayetterotary.org.
In addition to being named Business Leader of the Year, Cana was also
recognized as the Fayette Rotary Club’s newest member.
